Philips' Sundial in Eindhoven
Maccabi Rehovot at the Federico Carasso Sundial. A look back at the team’s 1956 visit to Eindhoven and a guide to where this historic monument stands today.

The team is gathered at the base of the Sundial monument, designed by the Italian-Dutch artist Federico Carasso to commemorate Philips' 60th anniversary in 1951. The monument represents the 24 hours in a day—a tribute to the fact that, at any given hour, Philips staff were working somewhere in the world. (You can find more details here).
At the time of this photo, the sundial was in its original location at the Philips Leisure Centre. After the centre was demolished around 1990, the monument was moved several times. Today, it stands in the parking lot of the Evoluon in Eindhoven. Below is a Google Street View image showing it at its current location.
